House of Bricks

Text and Photos by J Forsyth and Andy Donohoe

So cycling through Collingwood, gallery hunting, we came across House of Bricks on their opening day. Classic Melbourne – no sign outside, no advertising, a show with no name, serving excellent coffee. According to co-founder Nick Miller, House of Bricks is a combined studio space/gallery serving coffee and cake, with possibly more foodie treats to come. As we chatted to Nick, Jeremy Blincoe’s etheral digital collages were on display, Drew Funk was outside painting a mural on the bricks and a mixture. of family and locals were outside enjoying the home made cake. The vibe was lovely.

House of Bricks is located at 40 Budd Street, Collingwood.
Open 7am – 4pm Tuesday to Sunday
